COPENHAGEN, Denmark- Friday, May 5, 2017

Copenhagen charms visitors like a Danish fairy tale.  One of the most beautiful cities in the Baltic, it began as a fishing village and boasts more than 850 years of history.  It has been an important Scandinavian port since the age of the Vikings and remains one of Europe's most enchanting places, thanks to Tivoli Gardens, the world's oldest amusement park.

The entrance to Tivoli gardens ....  taken from the bus🙁

One of the many unique rides.

Another ride ... not the greatest photos, but this unique park would be a definite MUST!

The Little Mermaid statue sitting in the harbour at Langeline.  She really is "little"!

The opera house built by Mersk, the shipping giant who's headquarters is in Copenhagen .

The very impressive royal palaces.

We were actually on a bus tour, which was excellent.  We saw much of the old city and then were taken to the new, modern city.  With so many new immigrants moving to Copenhagen, they have developed the new city with unique architecture and bicycle friendly roads.  77% of the population ride bikes. They are everywhere!

A very small example of the bikes 🚴

The city has beautiful canals.

We loved Copenhagen....one of our favourite stops.  Of course, we have many more photos.

All for now, love to all...
