Everything in Norway is closed on Sundays, so had the downtown, high tourist area to ourselves. An easy walk of about 15 minutes took us to the heart of the city. Great day to geocache and we did a whole pile of walking. When we returned to town the next day, it was insane with tourists and locals, as it was their national holiday. Stores once again were closed, but the restaurants and souvenir shops were open. God for them as there were 3 ships docked. We were so glad we did our stuff on Sunday.
Very busy with tourists.
The manhole covers in Bergen tell themtown's history.
Local outdoor restaurants have you "covered". It is very expensive to eat and stay in Norway, but the restaurants and hotels are lovely.
Just some random street scenes.
On Monday we did a city tour by bus with a few interesting stops. Bergen spreads out over a large area. Nice spot, but love the countryside a lot more.
All for now, love to all.
